The defense claims Floyd died with Chauvin's torture, not from his torture,
Covidiots have a lot to answer for.
My apologies for my flippancy. I didn't get at the time that one of the witnesses was a EMT-trained firefighter. One of the "defense" raised at the time was that Floyd was under some psychotics (and actually died of OD).I was thinking then, I wasn't aware that sitting on the neck of someone ODing was the recognized SOP. (that's sarcasm - the little I know about physiology is that someone (possibly) under opioids really doesn't need any added difficulty in breathing). And now I learn, there was someone on site who could have advised the cops on proper EMT. And she got turned down.False excuses and bullshiting. That's all the cops have to offer.
If this asshole walks out of that courtroom a free man, there will be nothing left of the whole farce but a few rancid vapors in the place where big words like, JUSTICE and EQUALITY once obscured just enough of the truth from just enough of the people.
There is no reasonable doubt here. There isn't even any unreasonable doubt that can be internalized into self-serving justifications. This was a murder. And the murderers were enjoying it.
If/when Chavin is released, HE needs to be worried. His life isn't worth shit on the street. And he won't live through prison. He has no pity from me. Psychopath.
That seems to be the go-to line. I’ve asked a few trolls what part of the first aid for a suspected overdose involves kneeling on a handcuffed person’s back. Never get an answer. 🤷🏼♀️
Teenagers cash in stores all over the country so his age isn't really a factor. I ran across bad bills as a kid and I bet you others here who have cashed as teens can confirm. They all get training on spotting bad money because otherwise any con would know to wait for a kid to be at the register. It would be financial suicide to let someone cash if they didn't know how to do it and kept taking bad bills. Again, you are always taught the answer is to refuse to take the bill, call in the manager on the spot and only call the cops if they get violent, not take the bill then freak out to your manager afterwards and call the cops when the guy rightfully won't come back when you can't prove it was him. Otherwise, you let them walk and take the hit yourself because in the end, it's your mistake and not worth the risk to anyone's safety.
He feels terrible about it - that he had some small part in this whole disaster. The guilt is going to eat him alive and I hope he gets all the help he can. However the fact remains that the young man did something wrong (took a possible bad bill when he claims he had doubts) and then compounded it by trying to force a confrontation. If he'd done things the way he was supposed to, this wouldn't have happened.

yes second shot, but I waited, no biggie. Line was not that bad. I stopped and got junk food on the way home and I am enjoying some Cheddar Sour Cream chips while I get back to work.
Yeah Gianforte is an asshole, assaults reporters and tortures and kills endangered wolf that is collared no less and nothing happens to him, nope...the first happened before he ever ran for MT Governor and the second happened while Governor from what I read...and he is now giving trophy hunters free rein to kill every animal, endangered grizzlies and wolves the top spots, but kill everything that moves...Montana used to have people in it that had sense.

Where's the civility?!
Yep, and it's gonna be another summer of protests.
Being a White Supremacist, Mr Chauvin will be let off .

But I am worried...
Seriously, that judge was a real dick.
I am old enough to remember the Rodney King riots in 1992. My city (San Francisco, at the time) had to go on lockdown.
Buckle up if that bastard gets acquitted, because I think the backlash will make the King riots look like an ice cream social.

But this young lady, and every one of those witnesses has to carry this trauma of witnessing this murder-by-cop for a lifetime.
I can't watch this. Just reading about it makes me feel sick. Ta, Stephen.
