I didn’t say it was. My reply was in response to the notion that AR nuts wouldn’t harm animals.

Chap (or Lady) looks positively Victorian.

I don't think it would either and they would deserve every single thing that happened to them.

Every Australian wildlife rehabber has a wild variety of sacks. Because most of the babies they'll be hand-raising are marsupials, and would normally be in their mother's pouch.

I live in Dallas and these incidents have been very upsetting. The zoo may lose its accreditation because of the apparent lack of safety. When the leopard disappeared we all assumed it was some drug lord who wanted it as a trophy pet. The fact that this person locked the tamarins in an unheated house with no food or water in below freezing conditions in very shocking.

It’s been my experience that the more radical animal rights activists don’t really care about outcomes they want the spectacle. “Better free and dead than alive in cages” sounds good until one rationally confronts the reality. Which often includes harm to other species, damage to local ecosystems, and spread of zoonotic disease.

There’s a sensible middle ground. But both ends of the spectrum make it hard to meet there.

I’ll have to check my news feed; I thought a saw a headline suggesting it was a weather balloon that blew off course.
