See??! There's no need to make Mississippi grate again: it's already grate.

I admit I made an assumption when you posted that video... Err maybe didn't completely read your above comment either.

No foul. Just pointing out how ingrained that "southern" bullshit is, even in their rock and roll. They do love lost causes... taking on Neil Young qualifies.

I hear you, and as a non-Republican I admit my mistake and apologize for it... Also I hate Neil Young, who I heard was actually flattered, that he was mentioned by name, by them.

That never happens...

I could have been somewhat more clear as well, obvs.

If you would have read my comments carefully and thoughtfully you would have saw that I was an African-american from MS. opposed to Confederacy. The Reconstruction was not and won't ever be reparations for my people. We were and still are enslaved in many ways.- I don't need an education to know this- I'm living this "education" through experiences and observations. But apology accepted. Respectfully

Just read down the thread...yikes! What the fuck? Just the mere mention of the "Grate" State of Mississippi and the screaming trolls come out to play. Damn.

I'm from the south (Tennessee) and the folks I grew-up with referred to the War of Northern Aggression to friends, relatives and visitors from the north - it was meant as a "joke" much like convincing the same folks that they ought to go on a snipe hunt.

Easter Sunday my SIL had me watch "The Help". I thought the part where the maid was bequeathed in a will was . . . an interesting tradition. Call me a naive Northerner, but how did (do?) people get away with that?

Sorry you missed the grade history. Ask your local librarian to help you educate yourself.

Considering his Navy was characterized by "rum, buggery and the lash..."

G-G-grandfather was in 1st NH Vol. Cavalry, Company I. They were in several battles, he returned home to NH, had two children, committed suicide at age 42, presumably due to PTSD and TBI.

Don't knock coffins. Somebody's gotta make 'em. Very utilitarian. Even if cremation.
