“If they’ll cheat with you, they’ll cheat on you”

As much as we hate him, Manchin is a million times better than any MAGA crazy that we would get in his place from WV. We lost on BBB, but we should still brag about all the great stuff that Dems did get done this year. I'm sort at the acceptance stage of grief.

That’s not what hotbox means, Old Crow.

Also too, we tried being nice, which did not work, and now we have absolutely earned the right to call an asshole an asshole

If I were as old as Henry, I'd probably have a few cracks too.

When I was in high school, we'd fix all that up with some JB Weld and be out cruisin' tonight! ;)

Democrats have three years to dig deep and figure out how to primary joseph manchin III and win his senate seat. Can't be done, some say? Don't know until you REALLY commit to trying.

I hate the guy now but Five Thirty Eight says he voted with Biden 97% of the time. Anyone else from WV the score would be zero.

It can’t be done. Better to focus on a seat we can flip from Rs. Richard Burr’s seat in NC, for example.

Mitch: "Come on in, Joe. The bloody water is fine!"

Actually, I fully expect Joe to switch before he faces re-election again in WV. It will simply be easier to win re-election as a Rethug than a Dem. However, he's gonna wait and see how the 2022 election goes and rake in the corporate donations and then pull the cord in 2024. As a Rethug, Joe is just one asshole. Among the Dems, he's THE asshole.

Coloradan says fuck him. Oh, he's a lobbyist now? Didn't know that. Fuck him even harder.

I give that a literally zero chance of happening in a state where Trump got more than double the votes than Biden in 2020

Election suppression support is a must, however.

Was there ever actually an infrastructure bill? Or was it like their health care bill, “The Repeal and Not Replace” Act?

He could become an independent, but he’d still have to caucus with one side or the other. That way he could keep the fear alive.

Okay. Let's give up.
