The SUPERMAJORITY PLAN TO SAVE THE COUNTRY FROM TRUMP

It will take 292 house and 67 senate democrats to obtain a supermajority vote. The supermajority vote will negate the need for Trump to sign a bill into law. THIS IS THE KEY TO ACCOMPLISHING ANYTHING. The house and senate can pass a law to release the classified files implicating Trump. They can pass a law to investigate the coverup of those files within the Trump administration.

EVERYONE IS GOING TO HAVE TO VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS IN THE NOVEMBER 6th MIDTERM ELECTIONS TO MAKE THIS WORK

Make sure you share this with everyone you know without social media. People without social media are unaware how corrupt and detrimental Trump’s administration really is for our country. The media outlets do not post anything negative about Trump.

Spread the word to everyone in Polk county

EVERYONE IN IOWA DISTRICT 16 IS GOING TO HAVE TO HELP OUT AND VOTE DECEMBER 30th. WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE DEMOCRAT RENEE HARDMAN WINS HER ELECTION

When he goes I’m popping the cork on this Veuve Cliquot because the label is orange. It should be the official champagne of trump’s demise.

"WOKE" simply means you believe everyone should be treated fairly and equally. Isn't that the very basis of the concept of "America"

"though we’ll also point out, dour killjoys that we are, that special elections in off-cycle years tend to be low-turnout affairs"

Yeah, but that low turnout is usually from dems. The REAL story here is dems showing for elections that they usually DON'T show up for. Love 'em or hate 'em (hate 'em) republicans are consistent as fuck per showing up on election day

Catelin Drey has had expensive work done on her eyebrows.

Finally some nice times from my home state, and my side of the home state to boot! I will say that I am seeing less and less MAGAt-esque posting from my friends and family back home, so maybe the tide is turning in the former land of Steve King.

belfryo's avatar

One would hope, but I remember an article from Evan several months before the 2024 election where he noticed WAY fewer Trump signs and we know how that turned out. I think its more the case that a LOT of MAGA and MAGA adjacent folk are sick of him but like the needle they can't quit him

Ta, Dok. Drey's a winner, and I always appreciate a Nice Times.

I know many of hate math but bear with me....

Orange Turd's less than 50 of the vote "mandate" was a 1.5% margin over Harris. With Drey's victory margin being 10.5%, she has 7x more mandate than Orange Turd.

Full disclosure: I grew up in Iowa, and my parents and sisters still live there. The state is not totally infested with MAGAts.

When I was growing up, it was a decidedly purple state. Yes, Chuck Grassley was one of its US Senators, as he still is. But the other was Tom Harkin, a Democrat. It was only when Harkin retired that Joni Ernst won the election for his seat.

And while Terry Branstad (R) was governor for much of my youth, there was Tom Vilsak (D) after him. Branstad eventually returned as governor, but left when the Mad King appointed him ambassador to China during his 1st reign, at which point nobody heard from Branstad ever again, and Kim Reynolds became governor.

Iowa also went blue for Obama in both 2008 and 2012. It was only after that they seemed to lose their collective minds. My dad blames it on years of farmers listening to talk radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh and his ilk, and I don’t think he’s wrong. That shit plus Fox News will rot your brain.

We used to do an art show in Iowa every summer and it was nice—people who have blanket prejudice against a state or its people are just stupid, I say sweepingly.

RRJKR's avatar

Your Dad is 100% correct I screamed for years about the horrible effect the AM radio jocks were having on the country as a whole Over a period of about 30 years they "RADICALIZED" about 25% of the adult population People who had not much interest in politics slowly became addicted to the multiple daily hours of propaganda, and became convinced that Limbaugh and the rest were prophets of a sort, and every lie they told became gospel. Was this orchestrated by some shadowy group or just an unfortunate turn of events?

2Cats2Furious's avatar

Hard to say, but the damage has absolutely been done. My dad never listened to that shit, thank Ceiling Cat, but his younger brother was a full-time farmer and he apparently is now MAGA. Which is just so bizarre to me, because I always liked him.

I think there has to be something in you that you can be swayed by listening to that vile propaganda. Like, I had to hear Limp Balls use the word “femi-nazi” just once to decide he’s trash and so are the people who listen to him.

I see Chuck Grassley as a senator from Iowa the same as Jack Torrance in "The Shining". Just as Torrance has always been the caretaker of The Overlook Hotel, Grassley has always been a senator from Iowa.

One seriously weak point in the maga-line is school vouchers. Rural parents hate them way more than they love Trump. Need more of this!!!!!

Dok - DO read Storm Lake. And not just bc I went to undergrad there and know the Cullins. It was supposed to be the anti Hillbilly Eligy but apparently if you're not victim blaming you don't get the same traction.

Great news - well done Iowa.

I would vote for that smile any day.

I will vote for anyone who makes Orange Turd think they might break the heel off their shoe kicking him in the ass.

"Sounds like the state of Iowa really missed out on a winner, there."

Dok, bubeleh, you know these clowns never give up. He'll have a job in Washington before Monday, and he'll go back to Iowa to win something political within two years.

If abhorrent things they said or did in the past were disqualifying, well ... you know.

Even though I have been a Chicagoan for decades and grew up in Minnesota - when I was a lad I used to summer with both sets of grandparents in Iowa. Currently my best friend is in Cedar Rapids caring for his aging parents. I've followed Iowa Starting Line for awhile - and just got done listening to their CORNHOLE CHAMPIONS podcast - and just today from them learned about "BLEEDING HEARTLAND" - I gets on thee Wonkette and Dok cites Bleeding Heartland! I bet Catelin Drey is from Charlie Kirk's "Island of the Wokeys" (where Taylor Swift apparently lives)

As I understand it, Taylor Swift lives rent-free in Charlie Kirk's head.

I like her poking Moms for Hitler Quotes in the eye. I do believe Dems need to reclaim “family values” and make the term mean something other than “hating gays and women.”
