This is what you get when you have too many kids and not enough awareness. Personal experience here, but not to this horrific degree.

Here.....let me turn this around. If she were a POC, EVERYONE in the MAGAtsphere would be screaming "WHERE WAS THE FATHER!?!?!?!?" Sadistic bitch.......

"I think we need to compassionately get to the heart of the crisis in the white family and find out exactly WHAT THE FECK IS GOING ON."

Let me know if I got the tone right.

I bet Satan's getting pretty damned tired of these sick psychopaths blaming him for their shitty behavior.

skinnercitycyclist's avatar

I know. You pull ONE insurrection against God and they blame you for EVERYthing.

I'm pretty sure there's a scene in the first season of "Lucifer" where the title character complains of exactly that sort of thing.

Ta, Robyn. Horrific. I just censored myself, because what I have to say about this "model mother" is not fit for human eyes.

"You can't have a model mother without sniffing a lot of airplane glue."

~~ Friedrich Nietzsche, I think.

I've always assumed that 70-80% of Vlogger parents are abusing their kids when the camera turns off-- and often when the camera is on. Whether is abuse is obvious and physical, or "just" emotional, there should be a damn law against it.

Thankfully, if Republicans get their way, she can just ship her kids off to the factories and no one will worry about them.

Frankly, I just assume anyone bragging about what a great parent they are online or on cable is abusing their kids. The more "perfect" seeming the worse the abuse.

LuluBean12 StarGeezer's avatar

Agreed. Never trust those bragging excessively "happily married" types either.

Ugh on my phone in the AM a lot of the "news" comes from the Miami Herald.

We have way too many nutcases who feel free to be abusive, think killing is easier than divorce, and raise kids who kill their siblings. So the USA ia a hell hole according to this coverage.

skinnercitycyclist's avatar

Eh...I do not think the rest of us have hit "peak Florida" quite yet.

Virtually any parent who says "I'm a good parent", is not a good parent.

skinnercitycyclist's avatar

I am a special ed guy at a fairly large high school (and previously in juvenile lockup), and I think in 18 years of IEP meetings I have never heard a parent claim that. Of course, those were the parents who put in the hard work and actually bothered to show up for the meetings. Or answer my calls and texts.

who pleaded guilty to four counts of child abuse this past December

So...she admitted she was abusing them? Does that mean she is now one of the ones who hate responsibility?

OrdinaryJoe's avatar

Wow. When your sisters go online to say that because you have been arrested the family is relieved because now they know the children are safe.

The thing about this kind of "tough parenting" is twofold:

1) it doesn't work to change kids' behaviour, so the only answer is escalation into actual abuse;

2) this is made possible by the dirty secret that the parents GET OFF on their kids' misery, and just want an excuse for hurt them. You've seen all those hilarious AI images of adults laughing at kids crying, I assume.

skinnercitycyclist's avatar

" it doesn't work to change kids' behaviour"

Respectfully submitted, it can change a normally developing child into an adult for whom abuse is a familiar and legitimate practice.

Also, Doomsday LDS people are SERIOUS pro-Trump weirdos.

Bitter Scribe's avatar

This would be funny except it involves the abuse of children, which is not, needless to say, fucking funny.

I hope that woman serves enough time in prison to thoroughly see how evil and contemptible she'd been. May her children have better lives, with the safety that all children deserve.

(BTW, where the hell was the father during all this abuse?)

Riding the YouTube gravy train and shutting the hell up for plausible deniability?

"It is possible that if, instead of assuming Franke was being “cancel cultured” for “demonstrating … what a responsible mother looks like,” the police and DCFS actually took the complaints seriously in the first place, those kids never would have been hospitalized or otherwise further traumatized. Wouldn’t that have been nice?'

Oh, but she's blond, pretty, and popular. That automatically discounts any accusations against her by 66.6%.

Unfortunately, "family services" is always understaffed and underfunded. Add to that the whole "religious rights/ parent's rights" thing, and American comfort with "physical discipline" of children and you get a whole lot of disinterest from the government. The "Quiverfull"/ Pearl method crowd has been OPENLY advocating horrifically abusive "childrearing" techniques for decades now and no-one does anything about it.

the Nissan NV3500 van in my town with a "quiver"-themed personalized plate and a sticker showing like 10 stick figures always has kids that look fucking terrified. no way that is a normal home.

So who's taking the police and DCFS to court?
