I’ve often asked, if she truly believes that, then why should she even be on the court instead of her husband?

Roberts has lost control of this court and is Chief Justice in name only. Thomas and Alito are the de facto heads of the court. If Roberts cares at all about the legitimacy of this court, he needs to rein those two in and, with Thomas in particular, start enforcing at least some semblance of a conflict of interest rule.

Yeah, that won’t be happening until we get the House back, if even then.

I see some insane bifurcated BS decision with Roberts trying some deperate cat herding to maintain some illusory shred of integrity for the high court.

You HAVE read Federalist #78, right? Federalist No. 78 "describes the process of judicial review, in which the federal courts review statutes to determine whether they are consistent with the Constitution and its statutes. Federalist No. 78 indicates that under the Constitution, the legislature is not the judge of the constitutionality of its own actions. Rather, it is the responsibility of the federal courts to protect the people by restraining the legislature from acting inconsistently with the Constitution." Note: it was a rhetorical question. I am pretty confident that you haven't, otherwise you wouldn't have typed the above BS. Then again, Stuart, perhaps you know better than Hamilton? (Lol. You know better than Hamilton. I crack me up sometimes.)

Let's expand the House while we're at it. Districts are getting too populous.

My daughters are going to be living in a fascist country because of the current makeup of SCOTUS thanks to Russian influence in our elections. I'm just going to do my best to fight it at every step.

ACB is a Catholic Dominionist, the church is the correct model for government. I would expect her to be most comfortable with judicial supremacy, which resembles the RC hierarchy of wiser-than-you people. Also the point about legislatures constrained by the constitution that created them resembles the church created and constrained by scripture and dogma.

So Amy might be mighty tempted by the candy but betcha she votes to deny.

watch how quickly he does that if anyone ever tries to a) impeach him or another justice, or b) expand the court and he loses his power

How proud is the Biden administration right now, eh? She was an excellent choice and I, for one, am looking forward to her matching or exceeding Marshall or Ginsburg at the very least.

Yes, courage and integrity do not seem to be low hanging fruit on the tree of Justice, unfortunately.
