OBama didn't work hard for a public option. He worked hard for it before the election, saying, "I will not sign any healthcare reform bill that does not include a public option." There's video on You Tube of him saying that.

After the election, he didn't consider it seriously at all. When the OBama administration was discussing how they wanted to handle healthcare, there were zero public option supporters at the table. Zero.

Yup. I don't even go for the covered stuff anymore, because one miscoded form or lab out of network and I'm on the hook for the full cost of a mammogram or whatever.

I hope you get both on the first go round. I only know about getting SSDI. I had to hire a lawyer after I got turned down twice applying on my own. It took about 2 years, but the first SSDI check I got counted the time from when I applied in the first place, so I got a check for past benefits on my first check.

I ALWAYS vote for Democrats, and here's one thing I know. Establishment Dems don't support universal healthcare. Expecting Dems to act and legislate for Democratic values is NOT being a purity pony. Damn, are we supposed to stand for anything any more?

Bwahaaaahahaaaaahaha! Never happen. The last time a Dem held office, universal healthcare advocates didn't even have a seat at the table.

i've watched us go from decent plans ('14) to increasingly crappy plans than folks (me) only buy because if i get hit on my bike, i don't want to lose my house.

We're already voting, in our primaries. My Congresswoman, Carolyn Maloney, will be our candidate again; she won her primary handily last month. VOTE!!

There's something very wrong with our media too. Conservative voices have the loudest megaphone. Dems maybe aren't great at messaging (hard to boil nuance down to a short sound bite), but the Cons are getting the most coverage. The status quo must be preserved.

He is mostly talking to Trump supporters. It doesn’t have to make sense. Probably better that it doesn’t. It has to sound like he is infallible, and everyone is picking on him. It’s odd really, isn’t he supposed to be a tough guy to these droolers?

I really wonder if they aren’t just fucking things up this bad because their base will reward them by coming out in full force.
