I don’t get why the latest centrist bullshit “report” says Democrats are spending “too much time” talking about climate change when people “don’t care about climate change,” but maybe we should spend more time talking about climate change. Jamaica friends, we’re hugging you. Good luck! (AP)

I don’t know who Brandon Brown, running for US Senate in South Carolina is, except that he’s organizing 100,000 pounds of food from South Carolina farmers to give to people who are about to be hungry, thanks to that ginormous bowl of fuck in the White House. It’s chestnut season here in the French countryside too. On our weekend hikes we almost always encounter foragers, usually older folks, sticks in hand to aid collection efforts. There will be roasting carts in town centers and some places even have festivals where small teams of volunteers will roast thousands of nuts on a simple set-up of long pits dig into the ground coveted in grates. I love the fall tradition, although I never really developed a taste for the starchy nut, which often finds its way into turkey stuffings and other seasonal dishes.
