My brother is somewhat of an expert when it comes to that particular method. He claims that sautéing the extra ingredient in a bit of butter increases the potency. I may have tried this, and he may be right.

True- just be sure to strain it through a cheesecloth. Also, if done right, your brownies will take on a greenish tinge- greenies, as it were.
