The County Commission for my New Mexico county voted last night to become NM's 12th "Second Amendment sanctuary," by adopting a resolution to affirm "its resolve to support decisions by our Sheriff to not enforce any unconstitutional firearms law against any citizen," and to "not authorize or appropriate government funds ... for the purpose of enforcing law that unconstitutionally infringes on the right of the people to keep and bear arms." Holy. Living. Fuck. So nice to know that every yahoo with a badge now gets to be a constitutional scholar on matters of life and death, even if they've never cracked a book. I feel so much safer now.
