Yes, and we have Robert E. Lee's former home which is now surrounded by thousands and thousands of dead soldiers. Arlington Cemetery. Lincoln's White House was brilliant in making that decision.

Well France has statues of Vercingetorix and there are statues of Boudicca is England... Then again, neither of those two was fighting for any cause besides not being conquered by Romans, so there's really nobody to be insulted by those statues.
