Let us catch you up on the latest twist in the Tamir Rice story, because who can keep all these killings of unarmed black people straight anyway? Tamir Rice was 12 when he was shot dead by Cleveland police officer Timothy Loehmann, supposedly for "brandishing" a toy gun while he was alone in a park not hurting or threatening anyone at all, meaning that Rice should have become the
The killing of 19 school children in Newtown convinced gun nuts we need more guns. Tamir Rice's murder will convince the wing nuts we need to stop looking over cops' shoulders and let them do their jobs.
One of the many, many horrific things about this whole sad story is that it makes otherwise kind and good people wish for hideous fates for the "police" "officers" involved. For instance, I hope that while they serve extremely lengthy prison terms, they are treated as compassionately every day by everyone around them, guards and prisoners, as they treated the Rice children. I also hope that their own families disintegrate into alcoholic homeless people. That last part seems harsh, and I only added it because of the 14-year-old, the letting-Tamir-die part, and a lack of kittens.

Since the FBI guy didn't get shot, can I assume he was white?
