There is something entirely terrifying in this. The fact that the virus is still in the world, the potential for outbreaks nothing short of enormous, and somehow this bizarre and dangerous notion has still propagated: fine now, not to worry.

Said it before, still true: it’s not the virus on its own that’s dangerous. It’s the deadly intersection of that and this dangerous cocktail of false information and magical thinking.

Take care of yourself, though clearly you don’t need me to tell you that.

Unless I missed it somewhere (and I did a word search), nowhere above in the article nor in the comments below does it mention the sentence at the end of the Post story...

David Marcus is The Federalist’s New York correspondent.

I think THAT explains a lot.
