The New York Times, and other major organs of the "mainstream" media, just like the major organs of the wingnutty media, are owned by rich people.
The higher-ranking employees of both sets of media are also rich people.
The Treason Party (fka GOP) consistently gives big, large, fat, enormous, gigantic, ginormous, budget-annihilating, horse-choking, elephant-choking, brontosaur-choking, Galactus-choking tax cuts to rich people.
OTOH, if the mainstream media told the bitter truth about the Treason Party, hordes of enraged citizens might flock to the polls and vote Democratic.
And then the Democrats, encouraged by such results, might, just might, actually dare to raise taxes on rich people.
Which of our two major parties do you think the rich people of the mainstream media would prefer to hold a preponderance of power in our country?
