I highly recommend the History Channel's "Hillbillies." Terrible title - very interesting content. Much on the battle (as the "conservatives" love to say, "literally" a battle!) to unionize the coal fields of West Virginia and Virginia.

Check it out the next time it is on!

I only caught a few moments of that program, but I can tell you that Hayes made the classic blunder: he assumed the person sitting across from him was capable of feeling shame or regret. All that guy can feel is the size of the bump his wallet makes in his pocket.
