That's exactly what a slimeball low-life ambulance-chasing sort of lawyer would say.So you're probably correct.

Yep - do his lawyers asking the questions count as Cohen asking the questions? What did Cohen know and when did he now it. Dammit, Cohen! I was just starting to think of you as an uglier and less eidetically memoried version of John Dean, and then you go all stupid! Dammit, Cohen! Edit - although, as pointed out in other comments, he is bringing receipts. He is naming names. He is pointing to other witnesses and letting the House know what kind of evidence they will need to deal with his crowd (written evidence, the answer is evidence in writing.)

I don't think there's anybody who hasn't always known Michael Cohen is a lying sack of fecal matter. It's just that until about a year ago, that trait suited Trump perfectly. Last week, it suited Democrats pretty well, if only to show by comparison how disgusting the Republicans truly are. It's difficult to make Michael Cohen look like the intelligent and honest man in the room, but Jordan, Meadows and the rest of them managed to pull it off.

A Trump pardon does Cohen no good with his State of New York troubles. But it probably would have bought Cohen's loyalty. He might have risked prison time for Trump on the promise of a pardon.

That's as opposed to Manafort, for whom a Presidential pardon is meaningless. If Manafort told the truth, the Russian mobsters who own him would kill him immediately no matter where he is. They might even have an easier time killing him in a US Federal prison. And they'd kill his wife, his kids, their pets, their houseplants; till his entire yard with tons of rock salt; and then they'd get nasty.

Manafort's best option is to spend the rest of his life in prison, not having squealed on the Russians. Then at least his family can live, and Mueller will probably leave them some of Manafort's money to live on.

In all fairness, I think that the former president's "fixer" should be required to testify in regards to the Obama administration's actions in... What's that? President Obama didn't have a "fixer?" Oh... never mind.

They're all lying and they're all guilty and we should imprison the whole vile, disgusting, criminalistic pile of them.

1,000 years prison time divided by however many fricking guilty parties there are. Its to their advantage to give up the dirt on everybody.

Maybe this is his scam? He gives truthful testimony, then lies about some other shit. He stays on the right side of the law but his testimony becomes largely useless to the Dems.

The only fixer Obama needed was when he was developing his own black and white photographs.
