KFF is not connected with Kaiser Health, so re-branding is a good idea. People make assumptions about (non-existent) ties to the health care conglomerate otherwise.

Trump obviously doesn't give a shit about health care, any more than he does about any other real issue, and thinks if he just rants on occasion about drug prices "going down 500 percent," the health care issue will just go away. Of course, it isn't and won't.

Mike Johnson may or may not yet have lost control of the House but he has definitely lost his empathy even for his own constituents who will not be able to afford their healthcare insurance in January because of his obedience to those who hate Obama more than they care about Americans who depend on the ACA to insure their family’s healthcare needs! Sorry to say but I can’t pretend that I don’t suspect that racism is the basis for their mindless hatred for that program that helps millions of Americans afford healthcare. I think I could respect them more if they just admitted their racism and acknowledged how it alters their opinion of the ACA but they never will be that honest even with themselves!

This is why I can't be a Republican. I'm too confused. Why did they ever start calling the ACA "Obamacare," as it was a good thing that Obama did? How is it that they believed their stupid magas thought it was bad? HInt: because Fox Nooz said it was bad because it was called Obamacare. Why didn't they just give ACA a different name, throw in some gobbledeegook, and claim victory? Honestly, their stupid magas wouldn't have known the difference anyway.

I don’t want people to suffer, especially the ones who didn’t vote for this shit. But I believe we’re going to have to see a lot of people suffering, and likely dying, before this really sinks in. The fucking cult will pay, but unfortunately so will a lot of other people. Hopefully the torches and pitchforks will be well out before the ‘26 election, leading to a massive blue surge that results in an impeachment. 🤞

Will this wave of departures bring in new normal people or more wanting to sniff Rumps ass? Only time will tell.

On the one hand I really want the subsidies to be renewed and on the other hand if they do not then the GOP will be in deep enough doo doo to cinch the midterms for the DEMS. Which way will the wind blow?

$85,000 income and 60's describes my wife and I exactly. In NJ we currently pay $440/month and the cheapest, most-similar plan available is Oscar at $1950/month. Overlooked in a lot of the discussion, this plan is with a $12,000 deductible (current is $6000) and we'd have to find a whole bunch of new providers since our current ones don't accept it. Added bonus: Oscar is co-owned by Kushner's brother.

Wow what a plan. Honestly, the somehow legal racket that health care insurance has become is perfect for Kushner and his dead-eyed greed.

Did the Kaiser Family Foundation hire the marketing firm that renamed Kentucky Fried Chicken to KFC? Or do they just want to hide the idea that their work is in support of families ( since that would be woke )?

Nice that they're all leaving, but did they have to fuck over so many people on the way out? Things are going to be so bad in 2026 that a competently planned universal health care plan could finally get adopted, do you think?

I was hating all of a-holes who did not vote for Hillary in 2016 saying "oh, we will get a revolution after tump (looking at you, Susan Sarandon)." NOT saying that this was worth it, NOT by a long shot, but now even Mr lefty is keen on universal health care, and he was not before. Seeing the county on the brink of collapse has opened some eyes. Too fucking bad it took everything going to shit. .

Honestly it might need to get even shittier than this.
