Oregon, California, Kentucky, and Florida will join seven other states in offering the longer benefits, which are expected to help out about 126,000 low-income families in the four new states.I'm sorry, I love you Dok, but this can't possibly be true. FLORIDA? Is doing something good for non-wealthy people? Pull the other one Dok, it's got bells on it.
I have five cats currently. One black and white, one orange tabby, one brown/black tabby, and a mother/daughter duo that are a calico and a black tabby. We expect family pics on Caturday, though submissions throughout the week are always great. Cats make everything better/worse/more/very.
The amount of money FL gets from this will not come close to the amount of money FL cut Medicaid by, or the amount FL refused to accept because of "strings". DEATHsantis cut Medicaid funding by $200 MILLION. and refused to accept $3 BILLION in federal Medicaid monies during the pandemic that would have helped up to 3 MILLION underinsured/uninsured, because of "strings." One of the "strings" was making sure that "brown and black" people had equal access to care.
Lawrence O'Donnell is interviewing a survivor that's telling that story right now (1:00am EDT) as I am not typing this comment, because comments aren't permitted here.
I don't think Moscow Mitch ever thinks of Kentucky. He's too focused on fucking over the Dems.
My mother was 10-1/2 when the Russians rolled into her town.
Take the funding and somehow tweak the eligibility to make no one eligible? I dunno, but there must be some way to line their pockets off it.
I think Michigan did that as well.

Postpartum depression had a major influence on my life, but it was apparently not well understood in the mid 50s at least in rural areas.
Correct!

What the fuck is this?
Republicans in the TX Senate reduced the extension from 12 months to 6 months while passing the abortion bounty law last year.
Luckily, Kentucky has a Dem governor.
