Nice Time: LZ Granderson Plays "You Might Be A Homophobe If..." With Homophobe Ken Cuccinelli
Fecal protoplasm Ken Cuccinnelli was on Crossfire yesterday because when you are a losing loser who just lost a governor’s race and has seen legislators and judges roll back bills and causes you championed, it is very important for America to keep hearing from you (see also Romney, Mitt). Normally yr Wonkette would just leave Cooch to his sad future of going on basic cable shows to shrilly denounce the modern world as it passes him by until he is reduced to appearing at Rotary dinners in the middle of nowhere in Iowa with other has-beens like Phyllis Schlafly.
But that is in the future. Today we can still watch ol’ Cooch squirm under an epic shitdown like this one from writer and gay rights activist LZ Granderson, who does not mince (no pun intended) words while handing Cooch his own ass. It is a glorious thing to watch.
In case you can’t watch video at work, here’s the gist. LZ and Cooch are on Crossfire to talk about SB 1062, the Arizona bill that would allow people to cite their religion as an excuse to discriminate against gays. First hosts Van Jones and corpulent skin-sack Newt Gingrich state their positions (Van Jones ties the fight against the bill to the fight for civil rights and the end of being able to use the words “We don’t want your kind here” to justify keeping blacks out of public spaces while Newt predictably whines about political correctness.) Then Cooch and LZ go at it, with Granderson trying to patiently explain his view that Cooch is “wrapping your homophobia around the Bible and trying to find scripture to justify your homophobia.” This gives Cooch license to get all butt-hurt that someone would imply that he is in any way a homophobe just because he has tried to ban sodomy between consenting adults because he believes “Homosexual acts are wrong...They don’t comport with natural law...It represents behavior that is not healthy to an individual and in aggregate is not healthy to society.”
Yep, can't imagine where anyone would get the idea that Cooch doesn't like the gay folks.
Cooch, allow yr Wonkette to give you a hand here: if you think it is wrong for homosexuals to engage in same-sex sexytimes and you want to stop homosexuals from having same-sex sexytimes because ew, icky, and also society and WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN, then yes, you are a homophobe. If you think your religion allows you to say and do these things, then your religion (or at least your interpretation of it) is a homophobic religion. So just own up to it and shut the fuck up. We hope that helps.

It's fun how when he can't refute an argument the Cooch launches into (paraphrasing) "You are calling me a homophobe? We can't have an discussion without you personally attacking me?" It just shows the weakness and wrongness of his position.
dear ex Gov Cooch- Thou shalt not steal, you hypocritical Bible thumping piece of shit. maybe if you pulled your head out of your ass and actually read the thing, you might have noticed that little gem before you helped yourself to all that money and those gifts
