Democrats speak out all the fucking time. They spend a great deal of time speaking out.

Nobody’s civil rights are optional. If only we could convince everyone else of that fact!

Well now we know why this got cranked up right now. Distract, grift, distract, grift, repeat"Ex-ERCOT chief says he was following Abbott's direction when they ran up billions in bills during freeze"So no worries about the kids playing sports because they are homeless. Sheesh. The things that white people will vote for to screw over other people are astounding.https://www.houstonchronicl...

Brian supported Trump. Ask him about 2016 and he will say that as a white guy he did not really support Trump but Hillary (and then descend in spit-flecked misinformation). He is not a Democrat nor an ally.

The bills that Dems are fighting, and he *thinks* that Dems should stop fighting?

The bills that Dems can not fight in some cases due to packing and cracking voters, and not enough votes to overcome that disadvantage?

Yes. I am saying that these Republicans suck. The Republican bills suck. And we should vote them out.

Apparently the overall response here is #BothSides!!! which is bizarre.

Bill Clinton raised taxes on the rich enough to balance the budget and start to pay off the debt.

W came in and massively cut taxes for the rich, and esp the super-rich.

#BothSides is bullshit in that case too. It is almost as if #BothSides is total bullshit!

Which means you are posting what is functioning effectively as Republican agitprop.

I answered above:They need to change the language and center schools. This is not actually a real policy issue. The Olympics have a policy for the Olympics.Schools should have policies developed by the schools, not requirements that coaches look into every students' underpants. Just not.

Republicans are a fascist movement and an existential threat, we beat them or we die. This doofus saying we should just throw trans kids to them and hope they get distracted crunching their bones because it's better than alienating swing voters by having identifiable principles is not making a good case for backing his idea of the party being an effective way to do that. I don't think you and I actually disagree on anything.

I think we agree on all the things.* Thanks for the clarification.

But anything less than Biden ordering a nuclear strike on Moscow is "appeasement".

Yes, it’s a clear-cut strategy. Appeal to the extremist base with cruel anti-LGBTQ policies and then wait while Dem moderates reveal themselves as feckless allies, which in turn depresses the vote. It’s a win-win.

And as we’ve seen, the GOP never stops with one assault on the marginalized. They are already moving to criminalize parents who accept their trans kids.

This is the “Why do you make me hit you?” mentality of abusers. Maybe the Republicans could just back the fuck up and compromise on their ass-backwards, radical culture war agenda?

He says it’s a lack of concessions, by Dems, on culture war issues, that’s fueling conflicts. Perhaps it creates internal conflicts within the Party, but if Dems didn’t already offer concessions with Republicans in this regard, we wouldn’t have any culture wars. The issues would simply be resolved and everyone would have equal rights. It’s only our pathological obsession with bipartisanship that keeps us from leveling the field, paving over it, and building a community rec center. A majority of people side with Dems on nearly all equal rights issues. A majority of people vote for Dems. A majority of people have picked a side, and there’s no reason to further coddle the minority on these issues, even/especially if the minority is posturing for a Civil War.

Don’t negotiate with terrorists!
