Struggling to imagine how Biden/Harris can't be seen as supporting Israel.

Aid (all military) for Israel has tripled. In the last year of PAB's it had dropped to the lowest level - $4.5 billion.

Now it is up to $12.58 billion.

With an agreement to continue this till 2028.

US munitions are killing civilians in Gaza. When I was a kid I watched napalm strikes on TV. I support Israel but goddamn.

Yeah. I support Israel's right to exist and its right to defend itself, but not its willingness to kill civilians in other countries, nor its non-right to build settlements in land it doesn't own.

Tom Cotton's corollary to this is: If you defend Israel's actions or its leaders, you cannot possibly be an antisemite.

Crappy rule, crappy corollary.

Is there an inherent rule that Dems don't appear on Sunday news shows? Something about the weekend having to be good news free?

I'm still not understanding how anybody thinks having Tom Cotton on as a guest is a good idea. A more toxic, malignant, authoritarian creep you'd be hard put to----oh well, not that hard put: throw a stone when the Republican Senate caucus gets together to polish up its talking points, and with a good throw and just the right flick of the wrist, you'll hit at least three toxic, malignant, authoritarian creeps, maybe more.

But anyhow: I'm still not understanding what it is the network and cable news shows like about him. Are they engaging in "best of a bad lot" thinking? Is he one of the few the billionaires have authorized to go on-air and say stuff? Does somebody actually imagine he sounds even remotely coherent and not at all like a cut-rate, bargain-basement Nazi who isn't even one of the good bargain-basement Nazis, like Rand Paul, but is instead one of the smarmy, precious, Eddie Haskell bargain-basement Nazis?

I just can't keep up.
