There is an old saying: if you laid all the economists in the world end to end, Grover Norquist would still be wrong about everything. Still, you have to give him a lot of credit (No you don't). In spite of the fact that only 2 percent of economists polled by the University of Chicago agree with him, Norquist is trumpeting his belief that the economic recovery did not come as a result of the economic stimulus act passed in 2009. So what did cause the recovery? Why, the spending cuts caused by the sequester and the continuation of 85 percent of the Bush tax cuts, you silly goose.
Exactly! I spend some money on Wonkette and presto, Sarah gets to grift on the tee-vee while electricity and internet providers reap the benefit of selling more electrons so thousands can read the Fartknocker Report.
"tying the economic recovery to spending cuts ushered in by the sequester and to the continuation of 85 percent of the Bush tax cuts"
Without those, it's true, there'd have been no (need for a) recovery.
Rebranding suggestion. Take a tip from the Kool Klass Kognoscienti:
We don't hate women, the poors, the working class, the gheys, the Jews, the Mooselimbs, the blacks, browns chartreuse and vermillion. We just love the billionaires who look like us.
Grover is back! He's risen from the ashes of the missing post like the Wingnut Phoenix! I guess that whole Burning Man thingy really made an impression on him...
So...you want people to think that the economy is recovering because of a continuation of the Bush tax cuts, which were implemented years before the recession ever started? Good luck with that.

Hey, that post ain't gonna plagiarize itself, you know.

Not to mention your irrational exuberance.
Grover was never the sharpest muppet in the playbox.
All it takes to believe Norquist is throwing out all concept of causality, reality or the basic mechanics of time. The GOP does that before breakfast.

The economy sucks! The economy sucks! The economy sucks! The economy sucks! The economy sucks!
Oh, it's doing well?
We did that! We did that! We did that!

Economics - the dismal science.
if you laid all the economists in the world end to end
... your rational expectations would probably still be unsatisfied.
Only end-to-end. You know, human-caterpillar-style.
instead of running from...
Too bad they were so busy being the GOP's Washington Generals and taking a dive for 2014
Grover is back! He's risen from the ashes of the missing post like the Wingnut Phoenix! I guess that whole Burning Man thingy really made an impression on him...
Yeah, who posted that article anyway?
