We thought they were the adults in the room. We had such great hopes for the Senate Intelligence Committee, when its leaders Senators Richard Burr (R-NC) and Mark Warner (D-VA) gave a joint presser announcing that their investigation was going to be mature and bipartisan and not full of the dumbass hijinks of the House Intelligence Committee. This is the Senate, dammit, where they don't act like a bunch of five-year-olds. Senators are required by law to act like they're AT LEAST 12.
What they mean is that it's the way THEY talk, so he doesn't make them feel bad by maliciously using grammatically correct sentences and words with more than one syllable.
Louise Mensch is indeed pretty repellent and occasionally seems a little unhinged, but that doesn't mean that she is incapable of ever being right about a thing or getting accurate information from her sources. If she breaks enough accurate news to help take down Trump, I'm not going to turn up my nose at her information just because I disagree with her on just about every moral level.
Being from North Carolina, I never believed all the hype about Burr wanting to get to the bottom of this. He is as two faced and slimy as they come. His earlier attempt to assuage the news media about the Trump/Russia scandal should have been a tip off, but all it took was a few words of praise from Warner to lead the media astray again. Nunes took some of the heat off of Burr because he was just slightly dumber and more obvious about his abetting than Burr. Burr is as big a Republican Party sycophant as they come.
You can kind of understand GOP hesitation to do anything quick here. It's like they've stepped on a landmine of their own making and are just trying to delay having their fucking legs blown off.
We will never stop bothering you with LOVE!!!! so THERE!
I think we're literally up against the Mafia here. Trump has a history of doing their laundry.

Doesn't want his head to end up in a Recep-tacle somewhere.
I had a sense it was too good to be true. So much for disbanding the Resistance, especially now that the Senate has gone all Vichy.
I always assume that 'saving us' is the exact opposite of what they intend.
Slow walk.
You smoke a carton and then an hour later, you need a smoke again, amirite?/BorschtBelted
"Come, let me clusterfuck thee."
Don't blame me. I voted for Tar and Feathers.

They probably heard there might be a government shutdown, so they went ahead and started not doing anything.
I wasn't going to use that particular word, but I agree.
I wouldn't slap Richard Burr with Mark Warner's dick. Just sayin'.
