In our noble and oh-so-exceptional country, panels of men explain how ladies and their parts work, "not a scientist" politicians teach us about science and how it's all fake anyway, and people who think we're the U.S. of Jesus tell Jews how to be do Being A Jew correctly. So this sounds about right and exactly what we deserve. Black-but-actually-not Rachel Dolezal -- who identifies as black because she really hates whitey (read: her parents, and they're not the boss of her!) -- can't be president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP anymore, so
So, network broadcast or cable? Because, you know, I dumped cable because of exactly this sort of festering pus-filled "reality." What, exactly, is going to be "real" here aside from the collective stupidity of the people who tune in to it? She'll make a fine addition to our social reference group, and I am sure she will fit right in..
The whole thing has become way too weird. I thought she was an only child whose parents adopted 4 black kids, but she has an older white brother who has been accused of sexual assault of a black child in Colorado. That brother wrote a memoir some years ago about their family and said their parents were ex-hippies turned christian cultists who home-birthed him and Rachel, were strict disciplinarians, spoke in tongues, didn't have tv, and adopted 4 black kids to show their anti-abortion stance. Of the adopted siblings, 2 are supporting Rachel's "self-identity" and 2 think she's nuts. Get a couple of guys in white coats, indeed, and for more than one Dolezal! But criminy, NO reality show, because this is reminding me of another family reality show that's currently in trouble.
"Donald Trump’s YOOOOOGE announcement Tuesday that he’s running for president, for real this time"
Until he files the actual signed paperwork, this is still all kabuki. Personally, I don't believe he will go through with it. Too much downside. I doubt that he'll be allowed to participate in the first debate without the paperwork having been filed but we'll see.
I was actually feeling quite a bit of sympathy for Rachel Dolezal yesterday, as I have often felt the need to channel my inner black woman to stand up for myself. But then I saw part of her teevee interview. Her words, gestures and hyper-emotionality reminded me of a woman (white) that I know too well who is quite batshit crazy. So I suspect Rachel is crazy as well. Her son seemed quite wonderful though. He deserves better.
What says "rock&roll rebel" more than Donald Trump?
Hmm, George Will, Jamie Dimon, Rick Santorum, Marcus Bachmann? And how could I forget Dinesh ("Folsom Ankle-bracelet) D'Souza? So many, many rock&roll rebels!

24 hours? I guess you CAN go back.
How about a show where you, a few other robots, and maybe a human being make fun of bad movies? Hey, you could maybe do it in space!
So does that mean she's a squirrel?
Of course. It's one thing to be born 'coloured' and quite another thing to have done the colouring yourself!
Wow, even the same hair.

OT: There is an article in today's online New Yorker about online comments. They do not mention The Wonket once. Shameful.
America is so f-ed up.

Well what do you expect when comments are strictly forbidden?
Team up with Romney for "Kittens and Mittens."
