Awesome success story i ahvent founded a company or anytging but just hit the time frame were i could havw retired if i stayed in amd still 100% happy i got out when i did no sense staying to be miserable. No joking but my brain fails to understand how there was a time before FTN. I was much later so our catch phrase was accelerate your life . And sure enough decelerating is just acceleration in reverse direction.
The plot thickens: "I Was Told to Say This and That, or Be Quiet.’
the Mid-Hudson News reported on May 19, Toney-Finch had done something more egregious than simply making up a story: She allegedly recruited 15 men from a Poughkeepsie homeless shelter to pose as her displaced veterans, coached them on what to say, and promised to pay them for their time. [emphasis added]And she lied to recruit them, then shafted them on the promised payout, too. Naturally.https://www.curbed.com/2023...
I am shocked, shocked, that a Republican legislator chose to drill into this story, and apparently had a role in debunking it. Has he been censured by his party, yet?
You may be too sensitive to be on the internet. You might also consider a course in reading for comprehension as I did not say or imply that the military "just serve[s] the oil companies." Unless it was an attempt to stuff words into my post so you can take ersatz offense at it, but it was a bit too obvious.
Pres. Obama made big inroads on veteran homelessness-- I know he did. Or else he somehow fooled many many people about it.I sent money to Wounded Warriors but then I read an expose and it wasn't a good organization. Now I'm sending money to the support dogs for veterans who need support dogs but it's no good I guess. (Very money intensive to train those dogs, I'd say.) Do you think there's something about the subject that attracts inferior organizations?
My father was a WW2 bigwig and had no comprehension of Viet Nam war soldiers' outlook.. I couldn't understand him -- as if he wasn't human. But if he'd spent any time around them, he would have. Just talk about combat. But he never did that. He was in the Reserves my whole life though. He should have, bc people were always asking him to speak etc. He should have used his head. But, too much antipathy!
I mentioned it in the OP. If you missed that you just might need that course in reading comprehension a bit more more than me. It's right there in the first paragraph of the post and my first sentence.
I'd suggest you reread it before telling me that my opinion and reaction is wrong.
Maher means choad wanking jerkoff, in neoliberal speak
Well, I admire you. And, the army never would have taught you to be patient with those unusual students.

I was that type of fuckup, a lot of my friends got the general after a spectacularly bad Reforger in 1983.
Well shit, that was a close run thing. A QRF exercise on steroids with potential for a nuclear war. Hard to imagine what it was like on the ground.
You may be thinking of Able Archer. I was part of that, too, but it was different from Reforger (an annual exercise).
My part in Able Archer was strictly limited to low-level gophering, I was just a SP4 98G in an ASA company.
Please review the rules. calls for violence aren't allowed here, not even when framed as a sort-of joke.

She wouldn't be a Republican if she didn't cheat the desperately poor.

I don't think it has any meaning for people in the GOP anymore.
You didn't
Robyn did.
