They attend church in their own home. Hence, they don't pay property taxes. Jim Bob does the preachin'.

I wonder if this is the "sin in the camp" that used to get mentioned all the time on Duggar forums. Supposedly, Josh was engaged to someone before Anna, but then got called out for doing something by the girl's dad.

When you have that many kids being raised in what I can only assume is a repressive environment the odds are in favor of there being at least one pervert in the group. It's a wonder any of those kids are sane... oh, wait.

He molested his sisters. I am done laughing at this. It was one thing when it sounded like a 17 year old got caught fucking his appropriately aged (but wonky in the eyes of the law) girlfriend. This is another thing all together.

Well, he did diddle 4 of his sisters and one other girl, maybe his cousin.

At the time, with like 15 kids in the house, the boys and girls were sharing bedrooms, so Josh was actually sleeping in the same bedroom with his sisters. So no, he didn't catch Josh coming out of a girls bedroom. Early on there was one incident that a sister reported to the parents, Josh was reprimanded and they whapped his PP and told him to get down on his knees and ask forgiveness from the great spirit in da sky. Things went without another incident for a while but Josh's reprobate mind once again got a hold of him and several sisters reported he'd done the same thing to them. At which point they separated the girls bedrooms from the boys bedrooms and sent Josh to a contractor friend of theirs to do hard labor for his punishment. It appears Josh was a serial offender around the age of 14 but there is no indication that he didn't change his ways when he became an adult. All that shunning of sexual awareness as a child yet the constant awareness that all his brothers and sisters were somehow "made" must have been a real curiosity to him. I don't blame him for trespassing into unhallowed ground as a young teen, I blame the parents for being total idiots as to what they were doing to their children just living the life that they live. If his interest in children had carried over to adulthood we would be hearing other stories about later incidents and his arrest and prosecution as an adult. Unlike Bill Cosby who has been fighting allegations for over a decade and has women coming from 40 year ago accusing him. Clearly, Cosby has not changed his actions toward women since he was in his adulthood.

First of all, he wasn't 17, he was 13 to 14. Secondly he didn't have sex with them although it's alleged he fondled them. Thirdly it was his own sisters and that's just gross and pathetic.

People are only "ready to get married" at a certain age because society programs them that way. The only reason it's not acceptable to get married now days directly out of high school is because of social programming. That means - wait until you've graduated college and landed a job in a profession of your choice, get married and save money for at least 5 years before even thinking of having children and then watch your biological clock tick by as you stress yourself out with the choice between having children and keeping your lucrative and satisfying profession. People refer to college age people as "kids". Nothing could be further from the truth. The only thing that makes them remain immature kids is the fact that everyone enables them to remain kids without any real world skills. Personal responsibility is the only thing that makes people grow up. Just watch the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Bojo Jones", it's quite enlightening.
