A place that needs to hire a DEI officer is not going to hire a sixteen-year-old, no matter how many boxes they tick under race and gender. It’s bad enough that their comedies aren’t funny; it’s worse that they think I’m a fool.
Just like with Gordon Gecko and his Greed Is Good mantra, these idiots are too stupid to understand that Archie Bunker was the asshole antagonist, not the hero. They're making the same mistake with Homelander on The Boys. Too dumb to understand sarcasm or irony, hence their complete inability to be funny.
I started my career as an electrical engineer in 1968 working on components for the Minuteman III missile. That didn't last long and eventually in the 1980's I worked on computer networking chips. At the time, I thought "well, at least it's not war-related". Sometimes I wonder if the world would have been better off if we had all worked on bombs and never did this internet thing.
don't worry yourself. from the 1960s-2010s my dad refused to work on military projects, instead choosing to focus on computer-aided speech recognition and artificial intelligence.
it all ends up in the same place when "someone else" is paying the bills.
About 8 episodes in, they are going to do something to piss Elon off. He'll shut them down in nano-seconds. As his commitment to free speech is as non-existent as the humour in that thing.
I think the thing on the mask is supposed to be "no germs." It resembles the icon for "petri dish" in lab software.
Anyway, they forgot Terry Pratchett's most important rule about satire: It cannot punch down. It's not funny unless it's punching up. When you punch down, you're just being a bully.
(The thing is, the "identification" thing can become funny! If it's a old trans white guy who declares he's now identifying as a car or something. That was a running joke from a friend for a while.)
Ahh, well, a clever student could have been using “sit-calm” as a collocation or phrasal verb ( I’m not so clever as that student to know which is which) to make a punny sociological observation about certain television audiences.
And thanks Dok, that’s now a joke I’m going to have to figure out how to use…
I'm guessing "Norm" would be a nod toward Mr. Lear, but the unnamed sources of this "production" surely aren't that clever. And the production values of a "Terrance and Phillip" episode deserve all the Emmys compared to whatever this is.
"...and do you get the subtle reference to All in the Family’s theme song? Maybe in a later episode, if any, there’ll be a funny joke about how Norm’s old LaSalle ran great, too."
A Pete Davidson joke? NOW?!?
I've been watching junk on the Internet for decades, but that's one of the worst, most un-funny pieces of shit I've ever seen.
Ta, Dok. There's so much wrong with this that I. Just. Can't. Even.

Musk! SO funny! The joke writes himself!
Now I want someone stupid to bankroll this thing just so I can find out what a particularly ferocious Pete Davidson joke is.

I would say “it’s like they animated the Babylon Bee, only not funny”…except the Babylon Bee’s already humorless.
🤦♂️
Conservatives…stick to what you’re good at, like lifted trucks, small penises and hate crimes.
Man, this show sounds awful! Thanks for taking one for the team and watching it for us. You rock, Dr. Zoom!
This reminds me of the update they did of Those Were the Days for the 90s kids:
Boy the way that Jordan played
OJ and the Waco raid
JNCOs and a high top fade...
Those were the days!
MTV had VIEWERRRSSS THENNN Counting Crows and Boyz II Men
Mister, we could use a gal like Whitney Houston again!
Clinton killed the welfare state
Remember when we bombed Kuwait?
The Internet sure sounded great...
Those were the DAYYYSSSS!
I hope there is a scene where Chuck gets baked and holds a gun to Norm's head. If not, they are really not getting themost out of Larry Elders.
And, really, woudln't a better title have been "Norm All"?

Identifying as a Trans Am? (I'm trying to make it joke-shaped)
Something like that. Clearly it wasn't even that good of a joke or else I would have remembered it better.
