I am just waiting for a pissed off air traffic controller to take fate into their own hands.

43 year ATC, retired in 2007, living in Thailand. I belong to a couple of retired ATC groups on FB. Everyone is either "Oh F**K no!" or "will there be drug testing?" These clowns have NO IDEA what they're dealing with. Sean Dufflebag saying "we will reduce the training time to less than 2 years" is just BEGGING for MORE accidents.......Good luck asshats........*I thought about appliyng and going to the academy and then FAILING EVERY FN test, just to earn some extra cash and get a free trip to 'Murika.......

If there is drug testing, will it include Elon?

Ta, Marcie. We're not getting on any planes either. Cable internet in NYC is a whopping $89 a month, but at least it works. Most of the time.

Elon is Trump's axman, and doing what axmen do. He's going to cut it all down, no matter what or who is destroyed. He was a distraction until today's debacle the Oval. I'm so proud of Zelenskyy. He's standing up for his country. If I were one of our "allies", I wouldn't trust us again. I can't look my international friends in the face. Goddamit

It must be so much easier on Elon Zorg and his co-president the proven rapist and convicted felon who hates our troops and cops and Constitution Trump to now have Gabbard and Hegseth in position to just feed them Russian talking points instead of having to spend their own time getting them from Putin and writing them down.

Especially now that Trump's brain is so far gone that he can't even remember who he calls a dictator after a couple of days.

If you add up the annual cost of Starlink it comes out to 1789, the same year that the electoral college first met. Coincidence?

Trump is already up Putin's ass fully, Musk is a consequence of this not an enabler.

Trump is lying about how much military aid was sent to Ukraine. Furthermore some of the equipment was due to be scrapped anyway. Instead of going to the junkyard it went to Ukraine. Trump makes it sound like we sent pallets of cash. We sent some excess stuff and put a big price tag on it. Then American arms manufacturers made money building replacements, making jobs for American workers. At the end of the day didn't cost of much of anything, but really cramped Putin's style. Money well spent.

>>But I’ll tell you what is not coming, me getting on an airplane! <<

Amen to that. At times like this my long-standing old fuck quirks - which surfaced long before I actual became an old fuck - serve quite well. I've done it a few times, but have always loathed air travel.

Likewise, I have never had (and never will have) a credit card. I can't even imagine - or maybe just don't want to - how much more abominably shitty THAT industry will get under PAB 2.0.

I am literally ill with embarrassment and rage. FUUUUUUUCK them a thousand times over. I sent a rude email to the White House. Coward. Bully. Embarrassment. Traitor. Idiot. I can't stand it, I can't, I really can't.

We could have had nice things, like high - speed internet access in rural areas.

I remember talking about that in postcards to rural voters.

FUCK.

This is exactly why you don't elect a transnational criminal enterprise to head the executive branch, but again this is warned about. But privilege, clout, you know the rest.

I swear it kinda feels like Verizon has an actionable tort here, what say you legal Wonkers? I'm clearly not a lawyer but I am wondering.

That's a legit question, Seth. Been wondering myself the extent to which the federal judiciary, increasingly staffed by slobbering trumpanzees, will be willing to extend the immunities and protections of he Federal Tort Claims Act to "private" entities like Musk and his shitbird companies.
