PAB is too big of a PAB to send troops to Boston.

I'm sure he has not an inkling of the image it would give of an overbearing military force to descend on the city where an overbearing military force helped spark the U.S. Revolution, but even his most loyal ass-kissers who actually are somewhat aware of U.S. history would probably scream over that one.

Plus, those Irish folk wouldn't put up with the shit.

And neither, probably, would New Yorkers. And Chicago may very well revolt.

One of these days someone/s going to fight back against the New Gestapo, and there will be a real riot for really real.

PAB is doing his best to ensure this happens. The plan, initially, is getting USians comfortable, or at least tolerant, of these illegal military actions. And if not comfortable or tolerant sufficiently cowed.

Then to spark a revolt that will allow him to declare "MARSHALL LAW, THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!!" That's the end game, cancelling the mid-terms, or at least creating an atmosphere where he can shit all over them by having police crawling in blue cities to dampen turnout and other fuckery.

If they hide their identities, the local authorities are under no obligation to assume that they're actually Federal agents or troops of any description, and they can be stopped and detained until it's established that they have authority to be carrying weapons around Chicago contrary to local gun laws. After all, without identification, who's to say they're not impostors?

Thinking about the Defense Department and how they are dealing with all this shit… The people in charge at the Pentagon KNOW the rules, and I still believe that a majority of them believe in those rules. So how do they square the circle of patently illegal orders with their decades of following the constitution? I guess it could be selective choice of who to put in charge of specific actions; i.e. choose the proto-fascist general when you want to do fascist things, and everyone else just keeps their heads down and thinks about not losing their pensions.

Which is not an unreasonable concern, given Assmouth’s predilection for punishing anyone who opposes him. But it’s hard to see NOBODY senior in the Pentagon resigning publicly to highlight the unconstitutionality of the orders they are being given. Plenty of senior civilians have done it; sad if they have more courage than our “warriors.”

Advice needed: I am going to have myself a birthday party at The Dancing Crab, a fun little place around the corner that does excellent boils and fried shrimp. However, I am off sweets so I won't be having any cake. But should I still get a cake for others? They have these really cute cat plates and napkins that go with the cat invitations I got and I really want to have a reason for the plates and napkins. What is a good alternative to a cake? A nice cheese and fruit tray maybe?

Fruit would probably be good. I know the stores around me sell 6- and 4-inch cakes so you could buy one that size if you're worried about having leftovers.

Careful and clever slicing could probably net you a little sliver, just enough for a bite or two.

Or you could get a fruit tart for your guests, and fresh fruit for you. Then it's almost like you're all having the same thing.

I've been reading this local Baptist treatise and he begins with an entire introduction section on religious persecution in general, starting with the puritans. Then he notes how as soon as those Puritans were set up, they went right on to persecute everyone else, and how one dude said that the only people who should have a say in the land were the indigenous folk, whom he befriended, and who took him in when the Puritans exiled him for heresy.

Then he went on to found Providence or something.

Interesting shit, considering

It's like instead of founding freedom from religious persecution, as we are told as children, they merely imported religious persecution

Elon Musk Warns Contraceptive Pills Are Warping Women’s Emotions, Changing Behaviour

"The use of hormonal contraceptives by tens of millions of women could plausibly be having population-level effects on behaviour, including political behavior,” the post stated.

The eccentric tech mogul has highlighted the severe side effects of hormonal contraceptives in the past. Last year, he said that “Hormonal birth control makes you fat, doubles risk of depression & triples risk of suicide.”
