A long time ago I read the numbers coming from the BLS were usually underreported for a rising economy and overreported for a sinking economy. What matters is the trend looking back three months. That is after the BLS revises the data of three months ago, if the revision is down bad news and if the revision is up good news. Instead of reporting the BLS reports of today the MSM should report the up or down revisions of three months ago.
