I remember an interview with the daughter of a murder victim who now opposes the DP because as she put it, not only did she have to wait over a decade for her father's killer to be executed, thus putting part of her life on hold but once it happened, she never got the closure she was promised.As she put it, she realized once it was all said and done that the DP plays into the worst of your emotions and doesn't do a damn thing to help you with your pain.
