Is there a clinically established relationship between expensively tarted up blonde hair and a skull full of dryer lint? And is it a recognized criterion for employment in the court of the Orange King? There appears to be an unusual cluster of blonde feather heads on the White House payroll lying their goddamn fool heads off in the service of the most notorious known child molester in this benighted dog forsaken country.

The conundrum of "how can (Marco Mini Rubio, Jared Fredo Kushner, etc.) do so many jobs at the same time. The answer is simplicity itself; their REAL job is to attend photo ops and play-pretend to be serious public servants doing serious public service. And to credit His High Mightiness the Orange King of Child Molestation with all manner of unprecedented public benefit superlatives, their flattery threatening to break the hitherto unbroken limit of baseless, hyperbolic shoe licking. Like everything else the Pedophile Protection Party says, their words do not necessarily have any real life references. Ye shall judge them by their sour, wormy fruits, for their words mean naught.

“Court’s inquisition” - “No one expects the Court’s inquisition!!” Was “Court’s inquisition” written in pastel blue ink in the loopy bubble hand with little heretics-burning-at-the-stake dotting the i’s? As a lawyer who practiced enough litigation to know, I have never seen anyone call an inquiry an “inquisition.” “Can USAtty Barbie be rescued from the clutches of the evil bench Cardinals’ torture and coercion? How long will she have to sit at the counsel’s table on the cruel wooden chair while the judge harangues her with timelines, documents and laws? Oh my!”

Grand juries do not address guilt. They address indictment prior to trial.

So I have a small goodness to share.

I have a door in my house that goes out to a deck, and it’s in the main bedroom. It’s a good door, but it’s an older door. It’s a frame with glass from top to bottom side to side, and opens either on hinges on the side, or it opens from the top in a tilt.

It gets ice in it sometimes, and about three weeks ago, I was messing with it. I had it open on the hinges, and I did an override so I could open it all the way both ways just to make sure everything is moving smoothly, and suddenly I was holding a door. The thing is triple pane, and probably weighs 60 to 80 pounds, I would guess that the higher end of that range.

I was able to get it back in the frame and shut it, and I’ve left it alone since then because it’s really cold out and having it shut is better than having it not. I decided I was gonna wait until the cold broke to mess with it some more, which it’s supposed to do this weekend.

These doors were made by a local company that went out of business decades ago, but another outfit brought out the remnants of the company and went onto continue to build these doors and windows and their mechanisms are even more robust.

On a whim yesterday, I stopped by there, and explained the problem I was having, and they talked me through some possible solutions and told me when I tackled that I could call them and send them pictures and they would talk me through this. And they said if for some reason, the mechanism was broken and couldn’t be reconnected, I could bring the door in and they could replace it with newer mechanism and it would be good for another 20 or 30 or 40 years. I asked them what the turnaround time for that was, and they said if I called in and let them know they were coming, they could do it in an hour. I asked how much and they said about 375 for the windows, so the door might be a little bit more than that. Because I was curious, I asked how much a new door would cost, and they said upwards of 3000.

So at some point, I’m probably gonna want to do that, but I would prefer not to in January, but it’s good to know that I have options and I can salvage this one.

Holy cannoli, it seems that ICE agents abandoned their vehicles and intel was recovered. It appears that the information was streamed on YouTube but the channel now has a private setting. Anyone here in the Wonketariat know more about this?

I'm not surprised at their lack of opsec.

The Wanderer's avatar

I didn't click on it and can't find it now, but there was a You Tube short purporting to reveal that the Proud Boys' "leader" is listed as an ICE officer.

Well that would track if it is true and that would be the kind of job he would apply for.

No stake burnings here. County's under a fire ban.

I may be (gasp!) what you'd call "woke" (although I prefer the German term, aufgeklärt), but I've wanted to ask:

When was America great, and how and why was it so?

America has been great in some respects at various times.

Never great in all at the same time, though.

.

In most facets of life, "good and always getting better" beats "great" every time.

Maybe not in surgery, but otherwise..

The Wanderer's avatar

Quite so. The MAGA is predicated on a false memory of a rosy time when everyone had enough and there was singing and dancing and no one got sick and no one was poor or went hungry.
