I used to subscribe. One of my favorite cartoons in the Realists was of a small dog who had jumped on a guy's shoulders and was humping the guy's face. The owner standing nearby says "He likes you." Another was of a reporter interviewing a very old woman in a wheel chair. The reporter asks, "To what do you owe your longevity?" She answers, "God's wrath." Humor like that was rare in those days.
For some pharmaceutical-grade, uncut artistic lunacy, I'd HIGHLY recommend the documentary "Crumb." And if you enjoy Robert, his brother - with a genuine psych diagnosis - is even MORE talented & twisted. Mental illness GALLOPS in that family; IIRC, the brother to whom I'm referring committed suicide, & there is another brother who is/was profoundly unwell, mentally. The mother needs to be seen to be believed. There'sno way that I can do the family justice; just go get the doc!
If so, I was there! Oddly, I don't remember the Fugs as being there, which is not something one would think one would forget? I do remember the Velvet Underground, although I probably didn't appreciate them sufficiently at the time. But the Dead were astonishing. I have always said that that concert changed my life, without a trace of shame. The other thing I always say is that I saw them perform the Live/Dead album live, which is almost true.
I remember a guy I knew getting a copy of that poster out of his older brother's room to show to me when we were teens. I think it was the first piece of cartoon, err, erotica I ever saw. I may have to get a copy for myself just for nostalgia.
I hadn't heard that Krasner was involved with Wally's Disney Poster. Wally was always doing stuff like that, as far back as the 50s when Mad was a Comic Book rather than a Magazine. He was one of EC's most Talented folks. We lost a Comic Book Legend when poor Wally committed suicide.
I was in NYC in the late 1960s and remember with special glee Paul's conversations with right wing radio guy Joe Pyne who died at 44 in 1970. Pyne's thing was infuriating other people, but Paul reduced Pyne to stuttering rage.
Now that I’ve actually finished reading Dok's post, I can see that everyone already knows about it. So, never mind, peace out.

Nice to be a little too young for something every once in a while isn't it, Dok?

Krasner was awesome!

Snow White hands are being held, is this rape?
I've heard this rumor, but honestly, from my own experience, the Vast Majority of us Hippies that I grew-up with, are still pretty "groovy."
We had him at Starwood to speak a few times. Strange to think he was the same age as my dad.
I was about to say, Paul Kantner already died in 2016, but never mind

It looks like light bondage to me; she doesn't look like she's in any duress.
