Paul Ryan took to the floor of the House today and gave a rousing speech in support of the big Republican Tax Cuts For Rich Fuckwads bill that passed shortly afterward. It was a bold souffle of trickle-down cant and outright lies, and you could practically hear old rich guys creaming their pants at every line of the thing. It was a truly sickmaking spectacle, and Ryan was peculiarly excited as he talked about the great days ahead of us, because "today -- today we are giving the people of this country their money back." We won't venture a guess at whether Ryan actually
I keep hoping that Tillis some day visits a restaurant where, per his advice, the food preparers do not bother washing their hands after visits to the bathroom. On a slow day, of course, where no one else but him is served. Liberty, ecolity, for eternity.
Republicans have never approved of democracy, and they never will. Truer words were never spoke. They are really looking forward to bringing their case to the electorate in 2018, though. You bet.
One of the biggest problems not being mentioned is that while the U.S. still has a huge annual budget deficit, this law tacks more and more money on to that every year. So rich people can get richer. And if anyone believes it will only add a trillion dollars to the deficit over ten years, I have an 68 story office building called the Trump Tower I can sell you (it's actually 58, but Trump labelled the top floor 68, so that's what he claims as the real count).
Now, estimates are pushing $2 trillion and I would bet it will easily double that. Because the trillion is based on cutting Medicaid and Medicare, and slowly removing the individual tax breaks. Something the GOP thinks the Democrats will not have the political will to let happen. So pumping in billions more debt to prevent those cuts means even more borrowing. With interest rates finally rising, debt service will add even more to the debt bomb. And, may I add, for no good reason.
We are not in a recession (yet), corporations are bigly profitable and sitting in trillions in profits, and employment is basically at full employment levels. There may be a brief bump in tax revenue if corporations repatriate profits, but that money is unlikely to benefit workers. And when the overdue recession does hit, it will be even harder to recover and will add trillions more to the debt. At least Bush had an excuse, weak though it was. Clinton delivered a budget surplus and Bush stupidly proposed giving it back to taxpayers. If course, the taxpayers he had in mind were the same Ryan and Trump are looking out for, the top 1%. But Trump and Ryan do not have even that weak excuse. The projected deficit for fiscal year 2018 (covering October 2017 to September 2018) is $352 billion. Not counting this tax cut. Borrowing money and cutting Medicaid, Medicare, and possibly Social Security to give rich people tax refunds is not my idea of fiscal responsibility.
I don't know how to make memes, but I have had "Party Like it's 1929" going on in my head; to the tune of the Prince song. Less happy of course...Maybe Randy Rainbow could work that out.
Hell, f*in yes, campaigns take homeless and disabled volunteers. I've worked in campaigns for decades, paid and unpaid, starting in 1982. Show up, commit to help, irritate them if they don't give you anything to do, and be there. Show them you're reliable. Show them you're real. Don't let rejection get in the way, in the unlikely event whoever you're dealing with is having a shit day and doesn't appreciate what you're there to offer. Find your niche in the campaign and go with it. It's actually very rewarding work, a helluva lotta fun, and you do something good for the republic, too.
It's not fun, asshead. It's serious. It's my life. And people like you can't accept that Secretary Clinton did literally nothing wrong that you can prove and yet she's still the evil to you. It's stupid. It's pathetic. It's misogynist idiocy and you should feel bad.

Didn't Ryan's mother teach him not to talk with so many Greedy Rich Motherfucker's dicks in his mouth? https://media.tenor.com/ima...
We will have Running Man and the Hunger Games for our sport and "Ow my balls" and "I'd buy that for a dollar!" for our arts.... So much winning! /s

Whether it’s nonconsensual grabass or greedy tax bills, we’re always stuck with the tab.

I don't feel bad at all. Especially after reading your replies. Knock yourself out, Kyu.
I'm Canadian too.
Looks like we're all in Kansas forevermore, Toto.

America has been on that list from the very beginning...
The Puritans tried to ban Christmas celebrations, for example. http://www.historytoday.com...
