We know what you are thinking, and it is that you haven't seen enough of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) in the news lately. What has he been up to? Oh, nothing much, just saying lies about President Obama's new budget proposal in his best sanctimonious voice, but it doesn't really matter, because he is only the extremely powerful chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, which is in charge of tax legislation.
Chait is being cutesy, for pageviews. "Veneer of plausibilty" is code for "bullshit", except for Ryan fans, who will ignore it.
Ryan still looks like a Muppet. He also still behaves as though some wall-street MastersOfTheUniverse type has his hand up his ass and is controlling what comes out of his mouth.
Everything he says is so blitheringly dumb, I'm astounded ANYONE falls for the whole "he's a policy wonk" crap.
I read "Atlas Shrugged" except for Galt's 300 page (really!) radio speech. I was completely persuaded by her ideas about how a radio, railroad, steel, straw man economy should be organized. Also liked that the main girl character put out.
Hasn't anyone done studies on this? I'd like to see a few data points tracked every time they cut taxes for the rich. unemployment, jobs created and wealth concentration. probably a few others.
Reagan cut the top tax rate from 70% to 28%, jump-starting the filthy-rich-get-obscenely-rich gravy train, while the national debt nearly tripled ($993 billion to $2.6 trillion). G. Dumbfuck Bush tacked on an extra $4.9 trillion. That's your Republican fiscal conservatism at work.
I refuse to listen to this douchebag yammer about "Obamanomics", because it's likely to leave me with broken molars.
He needs to use those ears to fly back to whatever swamp-logged part of Wisconsin he hails from.
Sorry, he makes me really cranky.
It's the Reverse Pottery Barn Rule: You (Koch bros.) bought it, you (GOP) broke it.
hahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaha
Yes.
Lived then. Reagan was the end of America. We're just clinging to the leftovers at this point.
On the upside, his base is pretty thin. (Sorry, I'm a hopeless optimist). In 2012, his hometown voted against him.

So, you know, fuck Chait too.
I"D TELL YOU TO CALM DOWN, EXCEPT FUCK THAT!!!!

Paul Ryan said a lie with his mouth parts? Must be a day ending in "Y".
Of course not, don't be ridiculous! His family earned that, while all those other MOOCHERS can sod off!
"Mindless Austerity" would be a good name for a rock band.

Sounds ready for a porno parody. Maybe, Atlas Shagged
