I had my first up-close sighting of an anti-vax protestor yesterday. Just a lone guy with a paragraph of argle-bargle written on four signs decrying the fascism of forced vaccinations and vaccine passports and the cessation of manufacturing one calorie Tab. Well okay I didn’t actually see the loss of Tab outrage on his wordy manifesto but it certainly could have been there.

That’s the problem. This is already being chalked up as a “win” by the horse pasters who will no doubt grift, scream and protest until this kind of thing spreads like parasites.

The hospital should require the judge to set the dosing schedule. It's all on him.

Why can't the treating doctors demur, saying they don't have the requisite experince with administering veterinary medicines on humans? The wife can transfer the patient to a hospital where the prescribing physician can treat the patient.

The med is human approved in lower doses to treat the same things it does in horses. I suppose a doctor could pass the ball to someone who has prescribed it before (probably that quack who is working with this lady’s lawyer to push this drug for treating Covid will volunteer) and then they get to try and transfer an ICU chemically induced coma patient to somewhere they have admitting privileges. That’s not an easy thing to do. I can imagine that the husband’s current doctors would prefer he remain parked in their ICU and treated properly under their care.

Doctors gotta be losing their minds at this point. Not only are they into a second year of pandemic triage, but now kids are getting sick, belligerent asshats are refusing vaccines and taking those ICU beds and frequently still spewing the same anti-vax nonsense when they aren’t intubated, people are getting turned away for serious conditions because of them, and now they have a judge who just made it seem okay for patients’ families to order them to administer a treatment they shouldn’t administer because it’s not applicable and likely will do harm… or get sued. I’d be asking myself if this is why I became a doctor?

It does not sound like there is any such thing as a "proper human dosage., aany more than there is one for bleach, or toilet cleaner, or Drano. There are substances available to all that just do not have ANY medically valid uses.

In a state where some utterly unqualified jumped-up lawyer can order medical professionals to administer a plainly harmful quack cure in violation of their Hippocratic oaths, who the hell knows what the fucking rules are anymore?
