INVOKE THE 14th AMENDMENT! The rule is already in the Constitution. This is what it is specifically designed for. Geez Louise!!!

Military structure isn't democratic and most military people think everything should run the way they do things.

If there are troops in US streets, I feel it would be my duty to provoke them into violence.

So, the military has lawyers .... like Desantis was a military lawyer? Not reassuring.

However, I expect that the real problem will occur at the "boots on the ground" level. You will have a bunch of soldiers who simply refuse to follow that order ... or dog it so much that while they might appear to be obeying, they aren't doing anything at all.

And then you'll have a bunch of gung-ho fucksticks who are already looking forward to this, and will start shooting when a car backfires.

It almost doesn't matter what the folks with brass on their shoulders say at that point.

But yeah, it's gonna be ugly. It almost might be the tipping point that kills support for Trump. Even his supporters will blanche when its his supporters getting gunned down accidentally in Texas or Florida.

Most of them signed up, like the cops, hoping for the chance to shoot us commie libtards. They're jizzing their khakis over the idea.

I can imagine a ‘soft’ coup taking place at the Pentagon, where the entire US military command refuses to carry out what they perceive to be illegal orders from Trump. Call it a mutiny, if you will - but they’re the ones with all the firepower, so what’s Hesgeth going to do? Call the cops?

“Sorry, Mr. President, but the entire US Army went on sick parade this morning with… (checks notes) …says here it’s bone spurs.”

My grandson graduates from high school this coming May. He had thoughts of joining the navy after graduation. He lives in California and I live on the East Coast, so I don’t see him much. This being said, the day after the disaster called the 2024 election, I called and told him DO NOT JOIN the Navy this coming May. There is no way on God’s green earth do I want anyone I love under control of the Orange Menace. He totally agreed with me and is now going to college after graduation instead of joining the navy. I told him that if after t/rump is gone, if he doesn’t leave office then my grandson will never join the military, he could then consider joining one of our armed forces. My advice to anyone who has children thinking of joining the U.S. military in the next 4 years, is to talk them out of it while t/rump is in office. t/rump isn’t fit to command a row boat, let alone the most dynamic military in the history of the world.

Ta, Marcie (wow, it really IS Marcie Monday). I remember quite well how livid Cheatolini was when he couldn't sic troops on protesters. Dictator Tot is a menace to all good things, places, and people.

His only true goal is revenge access to nukes.

Right now, he's setting the scene for justification and consent.

They can 9/11 us with some inauguration "event" to get things rolling and take the gloves off.

The military isn't blind, but who knows with those guys.

Four weeks.

He'll face mortality by ordering the destruction of the world' his diseased mind thinks that would make him the greatest man who ever lived. And the armed Marine carrying the briefcase with the launch codes will be a good little drone and NOT stop him.

In addition to "May you live in interesting times," acting as not so much a traditional curse (curse-upon-thee) but utilized fractionally as an elaborate swear word usage of a curse, we now find ourselves with, and living in, the following:

"May you live in terrifying times." 😳 Hopefully within a few days we will begin the process of surviving the unholy 1461* days under the folly and foibles of That Man and his questionable minions, enablers, and hangers-on.

As always, Lady Marcie of Jones, thank you — hand to ❤️ — for doing the heavy lifting with such grace and aplomb. 🙇‍♂️ And of course with the snark and the swears, go Wonketteers!🫡

So happy I left the USAF in 2021, with OHJB’s signature on my retirement certificate. However I did live through Cheeto-in-Chief V1.0. And I can say without a doubt that if given ANY direct order by the Assmouth I would have refused to follow it reflexively. And would have willingly paraded myself to Leavenworth if required.

I can only hope I wasn’t in the minority. From my experience the USAF was pretty libtard-heavy, but the Army has way more people.

Posse Comitatus Revisited: The Use of the Military in Civil Law Enforcement

Journal of Criminal Justice Volume: 15 Issue: 5 Dated: (1987) Pages: 375-386

Author(s) R H Moore

The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which removed the military from regular civil law enforcement, was enacted in response to the abuses resulting from the extensive use of the army in civil law enforcement during the Civil War and the Reconstruction. The Act allows legislated exceptions.

Abstract

Congress, by legislation, has allowed the use of the military in cases of domestic violence, protection of Federal property, and enforcement of some Federal laws and court orders. The growing drug problem in the United States and the inability of Federal and local law enforcement officials to meet the challenge of massive drug inflow led Congress in 1981 to enact legislation providing for military cooperation with civilian law enforcement officials. Although recognizing the Posse Comitatus restrictions, the law opens the door for extensive use of the military in civilian law enforcement. The military has been slow to respond because it does not wish to become embroiled in civilian law enforcement, and there are questions concerning funding. Further, the military does not want to have its readiness capability impaired by diverting resources toward civilian law enforcement. The Department of Defense has developed directives to provide types of direct and indirect assistance to civilian law enforcement agencies. Currently, the military collects information and uses military equipment in tracking violators of the drug laws. Demands for greater military involvement in the war on drugs are being made. Military cooperation with civil law enforcement agencies can be expected to increase. (Author abstract)
