Do things together, as much as possible keep your child engaged in all your activities. On the rare occasion that you simply have to plop them in front of tv / youtube / other video media, you will have to discuss the entirety of what they just saw if you want them to become a healthy person instead of a money-maximizer. Advertising is a terrible drug. So no, dumping your kid in front of the TV doesn't save you time, it only frees your hands now, in exchange for more work later.

Get as many relatives and friends as you can find involved in taking care of your kid. Make a rotating schedule. This makes sure they have multiple role models to choose from, allowing them to mix and match as they will, instead of them becoming exactly like you or exactly the opposite of you (both are unhealthy and will damage your relationship when your kid becomes an adult). Having people to help also keeps you sane, we all need a break once in a while.
