I was at the Dodger game last Friday night with three friends, and realized that none of them were with their spouses, I'm single, and we were violating the Pence rule in countless ways! Yet no one felt compelled to violate anyone's marriage vows, or harass anyone! And there was alcohol! And we all came of age in the 60s and 70s! And we left in male/female pairs due to the logic of where everyone lived! It was a MIRACLE!
The Pence rule isn't about protecting women. It's about protecting MEN from potential accusations of impropriety. They don't give a fuck if women get harassed or abused. They just don't want any more of their precious powerful pigs being brought down by their own grabby hands.

The narrative I'm currently seeing is that Weinstein's victims are to blame for how long his rape-spree continued. After all, if they'd ONLY REPORTED his criming at the time he'd crimed all over them, he would have been stopped by the proper authorities so it's THEIR FAULT he was left free to harass other innocent women. After all, that's why Bill Cosby's streak of drugging and raping women was stopped so qui...oh.
