The judge could use a laugh.

Small point: "(The $13.7 billion in additional fines related to violations of the Clean Water Act that a judge is reviewing would not be tax-deductible.)"

When your stock price goes UP after this news, I'm guessing the amount of the fine is actually good news to BP...ugh

I'd bet money that BP will whine/brag about how unfair it is and how noble they are the whole time.

Great. Under current circumstances Land plant life might not provide enough O2 on it's own so the oxygen level might drop far enough to be fatal to anything larger than a rat.

It might be your job, but maybe you should skip reading the news over the weekend. Who needs suicidal depression on the first big summer holiday?

They didn't bow like proper Japanese hypocrites do.

Killed my appetite. Let's serve them at the BP executive picnic tomorrow.

How much is BP going to pay in compensation to the rest of us... Mexico, Cuba, etc.?

don't blame the country, blame the politicians. if it were up to me, they would pay half of net profits for ten years for every spill. but, find a politician who will do it.

Not to worry . . . Golden Sacks will create and sell oxygen futures, and the owners of Hampton estates will have it pumped into their mansions.

Only to teach how BP screwed up by not weaseling out of paying the $18B.

Wanna bet BP's lobbyists fix that before long?
