"...shocked that they turned on him..."

I never expected the party of face-eating leopards to eat MY face!

Yup right around the same time. I even had a Members Only jacket, and shorts from Ocean Pacific!

I DID wear multiple collared shirts in the 80s, when I was young and hip (I was never hip). But I was never fascism-curious, so thereโ€™s thatโ€ฆ

โ€œJesse Kellyโ€

I'm not going to repost the same gif that I did for Marienne Williamson, but:

"Who?"

subterrene's avatar

Same, no idea who that is. But then, in light of MAGA, I don't really care either.

I think this is a case where ignorance is truly bliss.

RMS's avatar

Wearing multiple shirts is a prep school thing from the 80s-90s. I guess bannon is trying to wealth-signal or something. Or maybe it's a form of "I am very smrt"

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Was that during the same era as wearing polo shirts with the collar flipped up?

If Lankford considers Jesse Kelly "popular," who in God's name does he think is just run-of-the-mill? What else has the senator found on the radio?

From Jesse Kelly's website:

As a United States Marine Corps combat veteran, Jesse Kelly has a unique understanding of the experience that undergoes our nationโ€™s heroes.

Yeah, unique: he's proudly stupid, uneducated, and ignorant. Go get'em, dropout!

(Without unwanted, unloved, uneducated children, the GOP would wither away.)

So Lankford is a coward, afraid to name the imbecile he sees as his better.

That checks out.

Just like the Georgia Secretary of State. They get the death threat treatment from the MAGAts and immediately go berserk, holding press conferences and making speeches, waving their hands and screeching how horrible this is and can't be allowed to continue in this country.

Meanwhile, Democrats get the exact same threats on every day that ends in a Y and quietly go about their business trying to pass living wage legislation, and climate change legislation, and universal healthcare legislation, and...

The more you learn, the worse it gets. He's famous for being a nothing.

I for one don't believe him. He's just trolling for attention.

RMS's avatar

Ditto. Anyone could claim this laurel crown to boost their "career"

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

And whoever actually did it is pissed. They can't exactly jump up now and say, "Hey, I was the one who threatened Lankford."

It would look so thirsty and cringe.

I just read an entire article about him, and I still don't know who this dude is.

The MAGA Party owns the border 100% now. Whatever happens from here on out is on them.

Nothing is going to happen

And the terrorists -- the ones who aren't already here and in jail for storming the Capitol -- roll across the NORTHERN border the same way they did last time (remember those explosions??) because even the terrorists know this is about the racism of Confederate voters as opposed to actual national security issues they didn't create themselves ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

As someone often found in triple layers (and more) of clothing during winter so that my thermostat participates in efforts to reduce fossil fuel consumption, I just want to point out there is an abundance of reasons to despise and disparage Mr. Bannon other than his sartorial choices.

My wanking motion is making itโ€™s own, very contemptuous, wanking motion.

Bannon worked for Goldman Sachs and left to form his own investment corporation. There's no way he did that for years dressed like a homeless person.
