I would love to see the leaf blower dads there too tho - just for the comedy factor (yes I know this isn't a joke, but if we can't have a mental moment of personal levity we may as well nuke ourselves from orbit)

I'm reading this and thinking of my own kick-ass-and-take-names mama and I am dissolved in tears. She would have been on that front line and her swears were a thing of baroque, ornate, mule-skinning, beauty.

I am so extra proud this week to be a Portlander: thanks Moms!

Very worried about what happens when the armed federal agents are facing the "Wall of Moms," nearby truck backfires, and a nervous Guardsman or Border Patrolman opens fire with his assault rifle, and mows down a whole bunch of defenseless white mothers.

That's a political constituency even Trump can't offend, but the human tragedy is worse.

I wonder if a thousand leaf blower dads could be an effective deterrent to tear gas?

I'm a mom to a dog, and Trump won't sent his storm troopers to Atlanta because Kemp. But if I get the chance, I will so be there.

Nice memory. When the hospitals were calling for volunteers, I like to think my Dad the doc would have shown right up, along with my Mom, an E.R. nurse. Love to picture it.

The Portland Raging Grannies were there at the beginning of the protests. With Oregon's increase in cases, I'm not sure if they've gone as a group since. https://katu.com/news/local...
