Excellent write up about this! It is inspiring to see judges standing up for truth, logic and science and against the BS.

Apparently they have laid a complaint about her judicial behaviour saying she questioned his religious beliefs......

Meanwhile, the Army has been unable to meet its recruitment goals. Makes me wonder about the sincerity of their concerns about "military readiness".

"Battle-buddy"?

Pretty cute language for that smelly dope sitting next to me in the TRQ-32.

I don't like to think of ANYTHING good coming out of Trump 2.0, but the spectacle of these public scoldings and ass-kickings, both IRL and in print, does my heart good.

I am intersex.

I have 3beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase deficiency,

It causes a natural, rather than therapeutic, transition from looking male to looking female (or vice versa).

What do you call someone who has transitioned, if not trans?

There is no sharp dividing line.

“I’m really loath to speculate what the President had in mind when he signed this order,”

I'm not a lawyer and I don't even play one on TV but it seems to me that Jason should have learned in Lawyering 101 that here in the US, we do not have kings and we are not governed by the president's whims, moods, and fancies or whatever unexamined bullshit he "had in mind" when he signed any orders or legislation that affect United States citizens.

Clearly Jason didn't learn that... just as his last big case showed that he didn't learn that here in the US, the president also doesn't get to declare war on private citizens even if they are the kids of his political rivals.

So if Jason didn't learn either of those pretty obvious things, what the fuck did he do in law school anyway?

Holy fucking shit. This is the best article I've read in so fucking long. Can we just clone this judge and get on with it? Absolutely amazing. Absolutely astounding. I love the refusal to mince words and play the high ground game. Just dragging these people for filth. Over and over again. Why can't we have more of this? It's a shame that people like this judge are the exception that proves therule. But that's where we are. Reyes Comes to my town? She eats and drinks for free. What a fucking American hero. Goddamn!

My issue with this article is that no one edits or writes with punctuation anymore. It's a problem all across the country and I look to media to do it right. Aside from that, Judge Reyes is absolutely correct. The hatemonger will file yet another lawsuit over it, I'm sure.

So you're looking for anything to criticize and that's what you got.

That speaks for itself. Thanks for your service clarifying that.

I just think that grammar policing is silly and unnecessary in this environment and on this site particularly . I mean you are really going to take issue with that HERE? There are bigger fish to fry and the lovely writers on this forum are frying them up quite nicely. Citing your lawyering creds is kinda lame too.

Context matters.

“If you can’t articulate what ‘radical gender ideology’ means, how is the defense secretary going to know what it means?”

Of course the Trumpies and everyone else knows what "radical gender ideology" means in this context. It means the belief that transsexualism exists and trans people have rights.

And of course the Trumpies can't say this explicitly, because "trans people don't exist" is such a transparently nonsensical and bigoted statement that no judge or other rational person can take it seriously.
