President McCain Begs Nation to Laugh at His Jokes
Reached inside his oxygen tent and told that his "bomb Iran" song met with only scattered applause, John McCain takes his bestdrunk-uncle-at-a-wedding swing at his critics.
"Please, I was talking to some of my old veterans friends," he told reporters. "My response is, Lighten up and get a life."
When reporters asked if the joke was insensitive, McCain said: "Insensitive to what? The Iranians?"
Sure enough, the speech was at a VFW hall.Jesus Christ , people! He was joking about preemptive war with military veterans ! How could anyone possibly misinterepret that? And McCain's joke won't worry anyone in Iran, because the only U.S. political news that reaches the Middle East are defeatist quotes about Iraq from Democratic politicians. Also, Heroes spoilers.
In related news, MoveOn is launching a TV ad about McCain's joke as part of the group's plot to destroy Israel.
