The Moonies recruited most of their victims on college campuses. I had an interesting afternoon with them, back in the day ... but being a grad student, and in my 20s, I had little difficulty in figuring out that they were loons. There were a couple of undergrads there, who seemed a whole lot more credulous. When I left, they stayed, and I always wondered what happened to them.
For realz. My daughter is being raised without religious training and I was a little concerned at first that she might fall for some evangelist nonsense. It turns out that when a person has made it to 14 without believing in God, it is very hard to persuade her otherwise.
