I love NYC's libraries. I don't like the cops generally, but I understand the need for them. Eric Adams is a liar and a fraud. He's spending taxpayer money to lock the press out of getting to crime scenes by encrypting police radio transmissions. I loathe and detest him, and hope the feds have the goods to prosecute. I want him out of office forever.

Cutting library budgets because of the costs associated with immigrants also ignores that libraries are a vital resource FOR those immigrants -- providing access to wifi and printers, countless programs, quiet spaces and computers for remote meeting access, quiet spaces for study that kids might not get at home, you name it, all on top library use being the greatest predictor of lifetime economic success -- but sure, cut the libraries.
