We are making a non-cooked version of sort of thing tonight, but maybe this very one next year? or for New Year's Day, perhaps?

But in any case, I'd add one of our ingredients to this dish: freshly grated ginger, and lots of it.

**** Show some confidence for once****I made this recipe. Except in a pie. Forgot to add enough sugar, because sugar makes you high.It was still good all tart n sour.Also, made stovetop and added juice from Orange, plus vanilla instead of bourbon.

CH3-CH2-OH has a lower vapor point than H2O. That's one possible reason, evaporation.
