They also believe some random middle-aged man is actually JFK Jr. and he never actually died (or has been resurrected? I honestly don't know or care enough to look into it).
I have no clue why they picked JFK Jr. of all people as one of their "saviors," but a bunch of these lunatics went to Dallas recently waiting for him to reveal himself. It obviously didn't happen, but don't think that has deterred them.
Robyn's last paragraph reminds me of my favorite quote by the brilliant, and grim, Peter Watts: "Brains are survival machines, not truth-tellers. If your brain needs you to believe something is true for you to survive, then it will." Unfortunately, humans being social animals as well means surviving as part of a group, and adhering to a group's beliefs doesn't always work out so well for the individual.
One of my older NASA engineer coworkers was a Christian fundamentalist. Sincerely believed the Earth was only 6,000 years old. At least he agreed the Earth was round or that would have made designing for orbital flight really awkward.
Here's what they say about us. This is from user "youknowsomething76" in a thread called "Think BIG PICTURE" (it's so fucking funny how these cretins try to sound smart by saying "think x" or "think y"). The premise is that everything done to TFG is good because it sets a precedent for stuff they want to do to President Biden:
They need to be executed, we aren't going to set a precedent by having Trump executed. I don't really understand this line of thinking
