My hope is that federal judges grow tired of his blatant attempts to rephrase the Constitution to fit his whims, and in turn question the quality of his legal advisers, and threaten to sanction, fine or outright removal of their legal licenses if they continue to allow these unconstitutional orders to reach the public

It's also important to remember that a lot of President Biden's executive orders were issued after he tried for weeks, even months, to satisfy whatever partisan bugaboo Republicans insisted had to be taken into account. The felon hasn't tried to get even one of these orders through Congress first.

The popular reason given by the courts for overturning President Biden's executive orders was that Biden was overstepping his authority. I hope they remember that "reasoning" when the subject is someone else's executive orders. For example, if the Constitution meant to allow the Executive to amend or rewrite the Constitution, the founding fathers would have mentioned it somewhere, right? That's just common sense, innit?

Given that jurisdiction shopping is a thing, I hope the bluest courts in the land are just inundated with suits. Fuck around, find out. Bitches.

But Old Joe only had "authority." Authority should be limited!

The genetic aberration known since birth as "President Trump" has something different. He has AuthoriTEH. And SCOTUS knows the difference, because they invented it.

In August 2024, a federal judge in Texas ruled that the regulation supposedly exceeded Biden’s authority to set immigration priorities

Huh I seem to recall the same SCOTUS minus Amy saying that the president gets to set immigration polices, when Trump was doing it.

Bet they say that again

America just might long for the boring, steady, scandal free days of Joe Biden when people get tired of their healthcare coverage, food assistance, public schools and financial aid being jeopardized. But maybe not, what do you need healthcare or food or retirement benefits for, so long as there is no empathy, diversity or wokeness around.

Trump is as lazy and incompetent as he is hateful. It’s remarkable how clumsy and thoughtless this attempt to freeze funds on trillions of dollars of programs was. It’s also chilling. Hard-line Republicans have been trying to take down social services programs since those programs were created. But many Republicans know they can’t exist without holding their noses and voting for programs the vast majority of Americans want and need. Every Republican potus tries to cut social safety nets in different ways. But for most programs, including any large enough to affect the federal budget and deficit, a bill and approval by Congress is needed. You need convincing evidence the program is wasteful. You need studies by the budget offices to determine savings and consequences of cutting the program. You need a way to show voters the money can be used better elsewhere.

Along comes the Trump age of fake news, misinformation and propaganda. Perhaps MAGA’s most transparently evil henchman, Stephen Miller, went on CNN to helpfully explain that defunding trillions in federally funded programs would ā€œeliminate wokeness.ā€ How, he didn’t say. But trust them, it would. After all, how can a program be woke if it doesn’t exist?

The lazy, sweeping, brazenly illegal scorched earth approach was given some hope of working because they believed Trump voters’ blind hatred of ā€œwokeā€ would give them license to cut programs that would devastate their own base, without the pesky need to take the long, legal and ill-fated route through Congress. They are literally trying to convince their own constituents to reject the benefits they depend on because those benefits are infected with woke or DEI. It’s like a madman surgically removing his own internal organs because RFK Jr. told him he had ā€œbad spiritsā€ in his body.

"the Office of Management and Budget’s flatly unconstitutional attempt this week to freeze federal funds for programs Trump dislikes... a judge had already blocked it, because Congress has the power of the purse"

> the fiscal year ends sept 30. P25ers will be pushing congress to pass a budget framed around potus' intentions. we saw how that looked during covid, and we see it already with aid for the LA fires. Big changes may be taking place right around the holidays

Biden was at a disadvantage because of all the rightwing judges who don’t give a shit about the law or precedent and will pull whatever torture reasoning out of their ass that’s necessary to reach the predetermined outcome as dictated by Leonard Leo and Nazi-loving billionaires.

I am curious what will happen if the Supreme Court tells dipshit donny no and he ignores it. I understand if you have little faith they will and the odds are good they will just rubber stamp Agent Orange through

What's that song by a female singer that has these lines...

"I'm tired but I'm focused..."

with the refrain: "I've got one hand in my pocket and the other one's playing a piano!"

That last line gets changed after each verse. Anyone know the title?
